Women's Swimming Falls at Eastern, 102-76

WILLIMANTIC, CT - The Western Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving squad dropped to 0-2 overall following a 102-76 loss at cross-state rival Eastern Connecticut on Friday night at The Sports Center Pool.

"I'm proud of how we swam tonight," said WestConn head coach Jill Cook following the loss. "We are in the hardest training of this semester and will continue to focus on our goals," she added.

Junior Mollee Lasto (Orange) and twin sisters Megan and Maggie each won one individual event, and combined on the winning 200 medley relay for the Warriors. Mollee won the 100 breaststroke, Maggie the 200 IM and Megan the 100 IM. The order of the winning 200 medley relay was Maggie, Megan, Mollee and junior co-captain Hayley Mangan (Manchester).
 
With the win, Eastern improved to 3-0. WestConn returns to action against visiting St. Joseph's on Friday, November 17 at 6 p.m.
