  • Women's Lacrosse Battles To The End Against UMass Dartmouth

    DANBURY, CT - The Western Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team scored eight unanswered goals over the final 13 minutes of its game against the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, but fell short of a miraculous comeback, falling to the Corsairs, 16-13, at the Westside Athletic Complext on Tuesday night.

    DANBURY, CT – Despite a team-high five goals from sophomore attacker Brooke Baldelli (New Fairfield, CT), the Western Connecticut State University women’s lacrosse team fell to visiting Little East Conference foe Plymouth State University, 20-9, on Saturday afternoon at The Westside Athletic Complex. Junior midfielder Lauren Bradshaw (Bethel, CT) added a scoring strike and dished out a game-high five assists for the Colonials, who dropped to 3-11 overall and 0-4 in league play. The Panthers improved to 10-3 and 4-0.

    SPRINGFIELD, MA – Sophomore Brooke Baldelli (New Fairfield, CT) scored her 100th career goal, but thhe Western New England University women's lacrosse team scored four unanswered goals over the final 13:19 of regulation to earn a 14-13 victory over Western Connecticut State University on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action at Golden Bear Stadium.

    WILLIMANTIC, CT - Sophomore attacker Brooke Baldelli (New Fairfield, CT) and rookie Caroline Galligan (Marshfield, MA) each notched hat tricks as the Western Connecticut State University women’s lacrosse team was downed at Little East Conference rival Eastern Connecticut, 18-6, on Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Colonials dropped to 3-9 overall and 0-3 in league play, while the Warriors improved to 7-6 and 2-1.

    GORHAM, MA – Rookie attacker Caroline Galligan (Marshfield, MA) erupted for a game-high six points on five goals and an assist but it wasn’t enough as the Western Connecticut State University women’s lacrosse team fell at Little East Conference foe Southern Maine, 12-9, on Saturday at Hannaford Field. With the loss, the Colonials dropped to 3-8 overall and 0-2 in league play, while the Huskies improved to 7-4 and 1-2.

With the loss, the Colonials dropped to 3-7 overall, while the Bears improved to 9-3.
