    BOSTON, MA- The Western Connecticut State University men’s basketball team fell at Little East Conference opponent UMass-Boston, 86-52, on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Colonials ended the regular season slate at 13-12 overall and 8-6 in league play, earning the No. 4 seed in the upcoming postseason conference tournament.     BOSTON, MA- The Western Connecticut State University women’s basketball team was downed at Little East Conference opponent UMass-Boston, 92-60, on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Colonials concluded the regular season at 11-14 overall and 4-10 in league play, earning the No. 5 seed in the upcoming conference tournament. They will travel to fourth-seeded cross-state rival Eastern Connecticut for a quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., seeking to upend them for the second time in a week.

    DANBURY, CT – Despite a team-high 22 points from junior forward Rashard Rodriguez (Trumbull, CT), the Western Connecticut State University men's basketball team fell to 11th-ranked cross-state rival Eastern Connecticut, 106-82, in a Little East Conference matchup on Wednesday night at the O’Neill Center’s Feldman Arena. With the loss, the Colonials dropped to 13-11 overall and 8-5 in league play, while the Warriors improved to 21-3 and 12-1.
